I will probably post about the Wallflower (2420 Main St, Vancouver, BC V5T 3H9) many more times on this blog for it’s variety of vegan options and the fact that I live so close to it. I figured I would start by posting a rare vegan breakfast option, Vegan “Eggs” Bennedict, I mean really, how often does one find such a treat. The Vegan Benny at the Wallflower includes vegan chorizo and vegan feta plus a vegan hollandaise sauce that is delicious. One of my favorite parts about eating benny’s pre-vegan was to mix the sauce with (of course) Frank’s hot sauce and dip the Benny and the potatoes it came with in it. Luckily for me, and anyone like me, it was just as good to do so with this vegan version of a benny’s hollandaise sauce. It is also accompanied by a green salad with the wallflower’s delicious salad dressing. Although the quality of food at Wallflower is true to diner level, it is very convenient to eat at a place with non-vegan food (for those friends who aren’t quite convinced about making more conscious choices) and so many vegan options.
