Voted top 10 restaurants in Vancouver, Fayuca has some of the most delicious food I have ever had. Located in the heart of Yaletown (1009 Hamilton St, Vancouver), Fayuca is a restaurant that serves food inspired by the Pacific Northwest of Mexico. Although the restaurant itself is not vegan, many of their dishes can be made vegan. I went with three of my girl friends out of which only two of us are vegan. We ordered a number of vegan dishes to share and none of us could get enough. Every bite took your breath away as the flavors were beautifully crafted. I have never been so close to licking a plate at a fancy restaurant. I definitely cannot wait to go again, and again, and again.

Below are the dishes we ordered (from top left):

Red Rice in Green Almond Sauce, Charred Avocado, Grilled Broccollini, and Mizuna

Braised Beef Cheeks with house-made Gnocchi, Broccolini, and Mexican Gremolata (no beef)

Grilled Cauliflower with Green Adobo over Caramelized Onion Puree and Almond-Garlic Salsa Verde

Grilled Cactus, Halloumi Cheese, Avocado, and Charred Salsa Verde (no Cheese)

Guacamole with Crispy Sunchokes, Toasted Pumpkin Seeds

  1. Yes I must try this! So glad that many restaurants are making it easier to eat plant based!
